Gentleman Vigneron, Merlot – Bordeaux rouge
MERLOT: Merlot grown in Bordeaux is by nature a very fruity and gourmand grape variety. So this Merlot wine will give everything you need : tannins, ripe fruit aromas, long finish, tons of pleasure… What is best than a group of friends, a nice bottle of wine, salted crakers on a wooden plate in a sunny garden… Nothing! Vertical trellising, controlled natural grass cover, reasoned protection, mixed guyot pruning.
HARVEST
Mechanics, selective sorting in the winery
WINE MAKING
Long maceration (20 days) in thermo-regulated vats, regular pumping over, complete malolactic fermentation in vats.
AGEING
Aged 4 months in vats, with regular racking, fined and filtered lightly before bottling.
CONSERVATION
Store in a cool place and protected from sunlight.
Serve at room temperature, around 17-18°C, but can also be chilled (14-16°c) for maximum fruit
